About Us
Symtag was established in 1988 by Alan Symonds. After spending many years as an agricultural rep, he identified a gap in the sheep identification market, and developed the one-piece plastic eartag.
Symtag is still a family run business that supplies sheep and cattle identification tags to farmers and exporters throughout the United Kingdom.
Alan Symonds, Managing Director says, "the business has built up steadily since it began. Over the years, we have improved the company by introducing modern, up to date technology in both the workshop and the office. I started off in a shed at the bottom of the garden, then moved to a cow shed, and am now in a tin shed!".
Symtag prides itself on the relationship it builds with its customers and the personal service they provide.
Orders placed before 1pm are usually despatched the same day, either by first class post or Parcelforce.
Cattle tags ordered by 3pm, on request, are usually despatched that day.
Normal opening hours are:
Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm
Fri - 8am - 4.30pm.
